I watched my dvd of this programme today and i was shocked. The once, i believed, beautiful cgi has become ropey looking and decidedly out of focus in parts. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Goes to show what a mere 4 years can do and how quickly this area is progressing.

It still flows quite well as a program, except the hand "puppets" which i considered at the time to the the worst bit has now, to me at least, become the most convincing part. Can anyone else think of some cgi that made jaws drop only a few years ago, but now looks rather under-par?

Maybe its just me becoming a technological fascist, or over analysing things, but it does make the whole experience less enveloping than it used to be.

    The first Jurassic Park film.
The Mummy Returns 1 and 2 (looked bad when it first came out!)
