Thanks for the Review Cas. I remember seeing this a long time ago & being fascinated by it. I wonder how it will seem to me now.
(And, yep, Jenny Agutter is a strong part of the memory of this!) πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

P.S. All these Smilies exist for different skin- and hair colours, but where are the Bald versions, Emoji Gods! Tell me that!

Nice work on the review. With Second Sight really striding into 4K, it's frustrating that this is presented in 1080p.

"some of these glorious, lavish box sets - like Waterworld - still often feel like tempting stepping stones when really all of the groundwork has been put in place for a 4K package just around the corner, leading us back into double-dip territory in fairly short order"

This has commonly become known as the "Blue Underground" manoeuvre...

Vivid childhood memories. Impactful for both its beauty and its brutality.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's one of the reasons i have mediocre eyesight...

My face is admittedly round, but I do have ears & a nose, shoulders etc.!

(And my post was meant in jest, by the way! :))

I know mate, I was just messing about.
On topic though, has anyone got this on order from amazon? The release date is bouncing around all over the place, currently at September 5th for me.

Childhood memories? That reminds me of a story I've posted before. The Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle used to show films for the kids every Saturday afternoon. We used to drop our son off then we'd do some shopping or go for a pint. The usual fare wold the likes of The Goonies and the original Japanese Godzilla films. One week I saw a poster for Walkabout as the next week's film. I said to the manager "Walkabout! For the kids?" He looked sheepish and mumbled "It was a mistake."

Lucky bugger, mine started at August 28, then 31, then September 21, then 16 and now it's on the 5th.
Hope you get it on time.
I ordered mine on 1 July. I can't remember what the release date was at that time, but it became "unavailable" for a couple of weeks before showing as 31 Aug

I just got an alert that mine has been dispatched and will be here tomorrow, I don't understand what's going on but I'm not complaining.

And Sweet William and American Werewolf in London*

says someone who certainly hasn't committed the names of the films having Jenny Agutter's nude scenes to memory for future 'reference')
