    after spending that obscene amount of money to show football,what's the betting they stick a few more quid on the sky subscription,:mad:

    You could say exactly the same about the BBC :)

    SKY subscription prices rises on or around Jan 1st are a fact of life, sometimes just the premium channels and at other times across the whole range.
    This new deal which doesn't come into force until next year is roughly the same as the current deal so should not have any significant impact on any price rise in the new year.
    However the Champions League coverage will certainly have an impact on the price of SKYworld and the sports packages.

    It's a shame that SKY didn't have the nerve to lower their offers, I'm sure they could have shaved a £100 million off the total price with ease:)
