Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but...

Just wonndering if anyone has managed to program the VSX-2014i-S remote control for SKY+.

I have managed to get the remote to "learn" other remotes, even the Futronix Lighting controller, but it simply says "Error" when trying to program the SKY+ one.

    Any ideas anyone.

    Thanks in advance.

    No - can't be done.

I spoke to Pioneer and they admitted it wasn't possible for any SKY remotes ...

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news .....

    Bugger!!!

    Did they explain why.

Oh well I will have to hope that when the Sky HD box comes out I can "Teach" that remote to my pioneer...

    Thanks Garfield...

Nah they never gave a reason - and I agree it is a right pain, my Pioneer remote does everything except the stupid satellite.

I suspect it is to do with the 'universal' code of the SKY remote which is 1526 - I suspect the Pioneer can't handle 4 digits ....

I have the VSX-1015-S and have the same problem with the remote. Controls everything except Sky+. The Learn function is very poor; it gives an error no matter what angle or distance I use with the Sky+ remote.

Did it come with a preset code for Sky+ or did you have to manually learn all the functions?

I have the same problem with my 1015 remote.
I found it strange because the remote for my old AX3 was able to learn the SKY+ codes

Has anyone managed to get a valid reply from Pioneer as to why the learning does not work? They completely ignored my questions about the learning feature and just said they do not have any preset codes for Sky. I do not understand what is special about Sky remotes (the universal code should have nothing to do with the learning ability).

Has anyone tried using a different universal remote, that contains Sky+ codes, to see if the Pioneer accepts the IR signals from that?

Do you still have the AX3 remote? You could try learning them from that rather than directly from the Sky remote?
