.vro files on pc

    Hi
    my problem is the play back of these files in win xp
    after a couple of mins the screen splits into 3 screens all corrupt
    i use ram drive to get them to pc
    they were originally video 8mm camcorder tapes recorded on to my dmr-e30
    i cannot find a solution up to now and they playback perfectly well on the panny.

    Why not you use a different player to play. I am using window media player 10 to play and got problem playing them as well. I use Power DVD player and by far is one of the best player i had. They can recgonise that it is a dvd-vr disc and can select the different menus, just like the disc navigator on the panny.

    An alternative, I never tried before, why not you try changing the file extension from .vro to .mpg, since they are essentially the same, only vro is a mulitplexed file. Maybe windows media player can be "fooled" to think it is a mpeg file. If it works, let me know? :)

    I use Win DVD 4 and this also happily plays back VROs from RAM discs recorded on an E55.
