Hi.

Im looking at buying a new modem router to work with Sky Broadband. Im on the Superfast package.. I know the new router would need to support DHCP 60 / 61. Ideally im looking for a router that supports VPN at the router itself rather than installing on connected devices. Any suggestions ?

Any TP Link modem/router will meet your requirements eg VR2800, VR600, VR900 etc. TP Link modem/routers automatically apply DHCP option 60/61 setting as long as you select ‘Sky MER’ as your ISP in drop down list.

The VR2800 is probably your best bet as it has a faster CPU which will come in handy when running VPN on it.

Thanks for the reply. Just wondering if the VR900 / VR2800 would benefit from dd wrt firmware flash ?

Does the bR2800 allow to select which clients will use VPN and which will connect directly ?

Sure, if you can find a DD-WRT build for these routers, but I don't think DD-WRT is available for modems or modem/router combos.
