    Good news......

[email protected] has stated over on AVS forums that he will be releasing the next update for the VP50 this week, Firmware V 1.04!

What is not known yet is whether this is a production or beta firmware.

He has given the following hints about what will be addressed....

It's a fairly safe bet that it's a public beta.

Anyone who campaigned for return of "2:2 odd" for those 1080i50 sources could be in luck too. ;)

Progressive Candence Detection On/Off switch and Pass-through for next firmware revision.

Would also be good to get the auto 'Forced 2:2' to work as well with 1080i50 as it does with 576i; although restoring manual selection of '2:2 Odd' is good temporary solution.
