Hi,

I have the Pioneer SC-LX 87 AV receiver.
Yesterday I saw my Blu-ray of "Man of Steel".
According to the receiver's display when I was setting-37dB.
Is this normal for movies? The harm to the receiver?
Which volume levels, according to receiver display your movies to see?

Sorry for may bad english !!!!!!

Best Regards from Germany

The actual value on the screen means nothing unless you have properly calibrated the system. Does not matter what it is set to really as long as it is a level that is comfortable for you to listen to and there is no distortion in the sound then you will be will not harm the receiver or the speakers.
