Volume and the Ipod classic

I presently have my wife's Ipod Nano (2nd generation) attached to a Cambridge Audio Ipod dock which is attached to my Cambridge amp and speakers. I am very pleased but would like to buy my own Ipod with a much larger memory. I was thinking of the Ipod Classic 160G but read reports that the volume was capped and complaints of low volume were fairly common. Would this low volume be a problem with the Ipod in the Cambridge Audio dock or would I be amplifying an uncapped signal?

I use a 160GB iPod classic and don't have any issues, and sound certainly can be VERY loud. My amp has a sound restorer function that also helps to clean the compressed sound.

The line-out signal from the dock isn't capped, AFAIK, and the volume cap is applied to the Nano as well as the Classic anyway. So if you're happy with the volume from the Nano, the Classic shouldn't be any worse.
