I have recently bought HTC one on 1year contract with vodafone with 2GB internet per month. I have come from Iphone so was very excited to use the android phone and was bit worried that 2GB may not be enough for me... But now it looks like it's too much for me because I can't use it!!! The reason is vodafone internet being so slow I can't take the full advantage of internet. The speed sometimes goes down to 0.02mbps (specially at my work places - and they are quite a few)!! In home it doesn't matter because I'm using the wifi..

I'm very disappointed with vodafone and regret that I should have gone with three... I know their customer service is not great, it looses signals in big buildings but atleast its internet is fast and 'usable'....

Is somebody else having problem with vodafone internet?

Yes. I did have the same problem with Vodafone so came back to O2 (Tesco) again.

That doesn't sound good. Now I'll have to put up with it for next 1 year (thankfully it's a year contract).. just checked its speed again.
    ping 2486ms, download 0.01mbps, upload 0.01mbps

I really struggle to understand why Vodafone remain so big and popular.

Utterly useless for coverage and service in my experience (and I do travel a lot so it's not a location-pecific problem). I have no choice for work but wouldn't touch them for personal use. In fact I use my personal facilities more for work as more often than not Vodafone will let me down.

Vodafone do provide support with network issues via their eForum here.

    Hope this helps.

I know 3 mobile get a lot of flak for customer service but their internet broadband is generally excellent. I'm getting 2.5M - 3mbb here at my office and can run VOIP on it. Have seen 12Mb when driving down the M1 a couple of months ago... well not me as I was driving. But my son used speedtest.net and saw 12Mb :).

I can't fault 3 at all. Even their customer service is fine once you learn how to 'manage' their call center staff so they do what you want not what the script is telling them.

Doesn't help you right now but Vodafone are currently spending a lot of cash fixing this.

The bad news is that it may be 6 to 12 months before you see the benefit (depending on where you live) but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

    With you here.

Was with Vodafone for 17 years and just left them as their internet in the City would be near enough useless.

1 minute or more to refresh the avforums app page Im reading.... downright useless!

My missus on the other hand can stream hd YouTube on 3 whilst walking down Fenchurch St!

    #THIS#

People slag of 3 but their 3G is generally pretty damn good. My lad got 8-12Mb download speed whilst we were driving down the M2 a few months back.
