Vodafone email problem.

I have a pay monthly contract with vodafone. I'm trying to set up email and can receive all my pop3 emails from the various servers however I'm unable to send as i don't have SMTP credentials.
An email to their support informs me to send and receive i mus sign up to a service called vodafone 360 - i only need SMTP credentials not this package of god knows what which includes account management, social network sync, a shop, music desktop interface, all of which is of neither use nor interest to me.

Is there anyway to send an email on vodafone without this crap?
