I'm planning to buy a Vitros in the near future, and have noticed that some retailers adverts are carrying the suffix ZP instead of ZW. I've found a stack of handy Vitros information on this forum, but no mention of the ZW/ZP issue.

Does anyone know if there's a difference?

Is it anything to do with the 2400/2500 chassis issue?

Also, what kind of stands are people using with the Vitros?

I've seen it with the Loewe stand in John Lewis and I can't make up my mind. Beautiful telly, but the stand has that kind of clinical look that wouldn't be out of place in an orthopaedic ward!

Any comments would be much appreciated.

In case anyone else is interested...

Having spoken with customer services at Linn, they tell me that the ZP suffix refers to a 4:3 version of the Vitros. It would therefore appear that reference to the ZP on Empire Direct's website, and in various retailers magazine adverts, is actually an error and should in fact be ZW.
