Although the software for Zune seems to be working ok,ie my songs are all listed on the computer and they play fine. When I connect the Zune to the computer it detects the device ok but it is unable to locate the drivers. I have tried all of the USB ports but I get the same result. Somebody suggested uninstalling all the Zune software and reinstalling. I have tried this but it gets part way through and then says check you have adequate access to the following key, then gives some HKEY thing. This is really bugging me. Can somebody help me,I am gonna lose my mind

I finally removed it from my system but I tried to reinstall it firstly with the disc that came with the Zune and it told me zune was incompatible with my operating system. So I downloaded the latest software from the Zune site and when it is installing it says I need an internet connection which I have. So it wont proceed. Any ideas????????????????????????????????

It should work flawlessley with software via the Zune site. Make sure that a firewall is not blocking the zunes software from accessing the internet (which is does need to be connected to), during installation. Turn firewall off, if you are unsure, during the installation.

I have just tried exiting AVG and turning off the Windows firewall and it is still asking for an internet connection. I am running wirelessly,do you think I should plug in an ethernet cable directly from the modem? Would that make a difference
