Vista SP2 is live

shouldn't we get this as an update through the usual sources?

Anyone know how to enable Windows search 4.0 which is included in the update?

Can't find it....

Namuk mate, why hasn't it been released through the normal update routes?

Service packs are released through windows update gradually, a few people at a time. You should get it sometime over the next few weeks.

Ok thats it installed, now, what will i see that is different....

it has arrived on Win Update for me

Thanks Gray and others for reminding me to check as my friend said it was slowly being rolled out across in update

Personaly, I downloaded the stand alone installer, but it will not install.
This stems back to update KB955430 which fails to install on my system.
KB955430 starts to work but then stops at 51%.
It will stop there forever if I leave it, and it is using about 40% of the CPU (quad core Q6600).
Supports final suggestion was to hide this update !!
It seems the first thing SP2 does is try to install that update.

I've hidden it, no way am I installing a major update over my junkified system. Thank god for the slipstreamed images :smashin:

Speed it fine now, just downloaded the 64-bit version in 6 minutes.
