Vista - Media Center has stopped working

Please help, I've just built myself a new PC:

Asus P5Q PRO
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Arctic Cooling AC-FRZ-7P Freezer 7 Pro
Corsair 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 XMS2
Seagate ST3500320AS 500GB Hard Drive SATA II 7200rpm *32MB Cache*
Asus HD 3850 Pro 512MB GDDR3 Dual DVI TV Out PCI-E
Pinnacle 3010IX PCTV Dual Hybrid Pro PVR
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium -SP1

Everything appears to be working properly until I go into Media Centre. I have run through the configuration for the freeview card and all seems to be great but as soon as I try to play Live TV, Recorded TV, videos or a DVD I get the message that "Media Center has stopped working" and Media Centre then closes down.

Have I missed something?

I've got it working by switching from full screen view.
Can anyone explain why I can't use Vista Media Centre in full screen mode - I'm using a widescreen monitor with resolution of 1440 x 900?
