HI guys
My wife and I have got 2 laptops both running Vista home premium one is a Phillips Freevents and the other is a Packard Bell both with Norton 360 running

I haven't had any problems with them but this morning both machines closed down without warning saying configuring updates no chance to save anything aaaaaaah

Anyone no a way to stop this happening
thanks

Depends on the updates, Norton updates would not shut the system down, M/S probably would.

System Restore to before updates.

You will need to adjust your Vista Update settings.

Control Panel\System and Maintenance\Windows Update

Then change settings to Download updates but let me choose to install them. This will stop your PC rebooting (you can delay a reboot if you are sat at your PC) once the updates are installed.
