I´m using the vision together with Panasonic plasma TH-42PW5
(852x480)connected with VGA-VGAcable in RGBHV mode.
I have a satellitebox connected with s-video cable, can also connect it with
component cable but same result:
Looking at a scoccer match(european foodball) from the sat-box, the picture
looks the same as before without the vision, with waves on the horisontal
lines
and the goal and the circle when the camera is panning vertical. Maybe this
is normal because of small scanlines, video-mode,the poor quality picture
from tvprogram/sat-box.
Normal television sets with antenna or cable looks the same.I was just
hopeful that the vision could fix that.

An other thing I noticed was ghosting on fast horisontal movement. There are
coming 2-3 extra lines from objects.

When I look at news the have small rolling text down in the picture. When I
zoom the picture, the text looks 3-D.The letter "L" gets 2 extras
ll,vertical lines on the right side.

When I zoom in test picture or OSD(on screen display) I look on a vertical
line, there are 2 extra lines to the left and 2-3 more visible lines to the
right.

Sharpness control on plasma is zero same on the vision.
I have tried to ajust the clock phase on the plasma , dosent help.
Also tried to ajust h sync pulse on vision , menu 0940 dosent help.

Is there any other memu I can try to ajust to make the exrta vertical lines
to disappear ?

Hi Gordon

I got the vision sent from Lumagen by Airborne express to Malmö,Sweden.

I dont know the version of firmware, how to check it?

Im running in 785P. But I have tried the others too.If I go up to
790P I get judder, not smooth movement.540P the picture flicker to much.At 720P and 768P there are some interference in the picture. But all resolutions I have tried I got those ghost lines on
fast horisontal panning.I didnt notice in the start but now
I see them all the time.

But the other thing , when looking a football match, the picture looks the same like normal tv-sets without a Vision. Still looks
interlaced with the flicker.Horisontal lines like the bar in the goal
is waveing just like before I got the Vision.

I dont see big difference in normal tv or sat-viewing only on some
movies or DVD.

Kurt,

I suggest two things.

First set it to 720P and set it to 50Hz for PAL and 60Hz for NTSC. If you don't like flicker put it at 60Hz for both. As you bought from Lumagen US I suggest you contact Jim or Patrick for back up and explanation of how to configure the product and the reasons you are seeing what you are seeing.
