Hi , i've just set up the benq 5120 my only source at the moment is a xbox via component output , the xbox is set to ntsc , when playing movies and games theres visable vertical green/dark banding on the screen , has anyone experinced this issue ? , the xbox is running at 480.

Any help or advice would be welcomed.

Like I said to you earlier its an xbox problem, some xboxes are known to show green banding over component, just posting it for the benefit of others.

is there a way to force the xbox to output at 720 or 1080 ? or does the software/movie decide this ? i was going to hex edit my dvd playing software on the xbox to make it progressive....

must say i'm not overally impressed by the 5120 benq , but i guess the real test will be the pc with higher res etc , i will plug the laptop in via the dvi cable and see what happens for regular windows....and maybe a game.

    wednesday/fridays sounds good.

It should already be progressive if your running in ntsc mode, not played with the dvd software much but I think you can change res in the config options somewhere, is it the same evox dash that u put on mine with the same dvd software.
