Having done a search on the forum, it would appear that most threads relating to Virtual Aquarium DVD's, for use as plasma screensavers, end with subscibers stating... " I will give this a go and post my findings", but they never do !! I have also saw that several DVD's of this type have been poorly rated. Could anyone recommend a good Virtual Aquarium DVD, with a variety of features. e.g. Coral, tropical, fish tank etc...
    Cheers

Not sure if its exactly what you want , but try the Living Reef. Its on ezydvd.com.au for peanuts.
Just took a look, they dont have it anymore  but they do havethis  and the australian dollar is always good when you exchange it.

Bit crappy that it's only 4:3 though, for a decent Plasma aquarium surely you would want a 16:9 transfer?

Steve, the stuff on Finding Nemo is not really what I'm after, It's animated and from my recollection, there is only 1 fish on display... looking very lonely..... at least I don't have to feed it much though ! :D

Thanks for the suggestion Vic, but I agree with Apnomis, I would prefer something 16:9, rather than 4:3 ratio. Also, I note that the one you suggest is from 1990, I know it's only 4 years ago, but something more recent should be of better quality, due to the technology improvements. I've heard you can even get Aquarium DVD's with dts soundtracks. Anyone able to confirm this and recommend titles/suppliers ? Thanks again.

    Mods,
Would it be possible to have this thread transferred to the 'plasma and LCD screens' heading ? Since it relates to plasma screen savers, it may be more appropriate, and get more responses, there. Thanks.

    Hi,

Try a search for Marine Aquarium 2, theres a free download with enough variation in fish, lighting, etc to keep you amused for a while, and you can buy the full version online, if you like it.

DJW... Well spotted, meant 2000, not 1990.

Smartiepants... Cheers, they look exactly what I'm after, though I was hoping someone on the forum could confirm that they are good quality. I have seen some that look as if someone plonked a video mobile phone in front of the fish tank in their local Chinese restaurant.

Fil... Again, cheers. Saw that mentioned elsewhere, but I thought it was only available as a PC screensaver, rather than something suitable for plasma viewing (my PC is not hooked up to my plasma, before anyone asks). Will give it a look.

The Sachs marine aquarium is superb, I've had it on my PC for years.

Well worth the few dollars to register.

They did do a 16:9 version too, if you can't get it, PM me and I'll send you the install file. ;)
