I'm taking the train to London with my son to see a little show called Diggnation. Well let me rephrase that, I'm taking him so that he can see it :thumbsdow

Anyway I plan on getting a Virgin train, my question is my son is 16 but if he was 15 I could get to London for £20. Does anyone know if they check age through I.D. or something?

    Thanks

V.strict from my experience. They ask me everytime for student ID on my frequent Manchester<-> Esuton jaunts. Last time I was on bloke across me had no student ID for his value advance ticket and got hit with £180 full price

Saying that at that age you'd need to make an effort to have under 16 ID which no one does tbh so they may give benefit of doubt

shouldnt worry about it, what sort of id would a 15 year old have anyway.

Depends if he looks 15 or 16. If he looks younger than his age then you'll probably be okay. I looked much younger when I was that age so even when I was 18 I could still get away with travelling on a child ticket. I still do actually.

LOL, I never use facial enhancements, I just eat fresh kebabs, smoke Old Holborn and drink Belgium's finest to stay on top of the game.

Mind you, Michael J Fox was in his thirties when he played a youthful Marty McFly.
