I have a virgin superhub (its made by netgear I think? its the one that comes with the 50mb package) but anyway all of a sudden when I try connect my laptop or ipod etc via wifi it won't connect?

All devices are picking up a 4/5 bar connection and I tried rebooting it, deleting the password and trying it but nothing?
Please help ?

Hi,

I would simply suggest that you first off confirm your SSID and passphrase for your wifi. Then on your wireless devices, delete the existing network/s and add a new one.

hope this helps,

On Win7, go to Manage Wireless Networks (you can find this in the Network and Sharing Centre from the contol panel).

There you should see a list of remembered wifi networks that you have used. I would suggest delete the one that corresponds to the network that you are having trouble connecting to, but if you are not sure about it just delete all!

Then try reconnecting to the SH wifi.

Hope this helps,

I've just had VBB installed, and I had this problem initally. For some reason the superhub had an "allow list" configured, with no devices in the list. So none of my wifi devices could access the internet. The solution for me was to add the mac addresses of my devices to the "access list".

Go to your advanced settings on your superhub. Click on "Advanced - Wireless Settings". Go into "Setup Access List" (it's a button). Switch it to "Allow Any" radio button, and click "Apply". Now try to connect using wireless. You will need a wired connection to the hub in order to do this.

If that works, and you want to restrict access to just your devices (recommended) you will need to add your Mac addresses to the list one by one, and then select "Allow List" (instead of "Allow Any"), and then "Apply.
