virgin media tivo remote too yamaha amp

hi just wondering can anyone tell me how/if possible to link the virgin media TiVo box remote to my (Yamaha RX-V1800) movie amp so when im watching tv I can use these controls for the volume???

A quick Google search gave me http://help.virginmedia.com/system/selfservice.controller , to find that there's a whole load of info about how to do this for AVs (as well as TVs) on the Virgin website.

You're expected to do a search yourself, before asking on the Forum !

Except the virgin remote won't control the yammy amp. I've asked the same question myself (after doing plenty of Google searches).
