Virgin Media hub 3 and Audio Pro

Just bought an Audio Pro Addon C5 speaker for another room in my house. I have a Virgin Media hub 3. For some reason I can't connect to it via wifi unless it's via ethernet (which is no use because it's just not practical). Has anybody else had this problem? Is there a simple solution? I've spent most of the weekend trying to connect it to wifi with no avail!

Maybe try switching the hub off for 10 mins. I've found in the past it sometimes doesn't issue new leases, or won't connect new gear. Doing this sometime forces a firmware update.
I run a separate router now and leave the hub in modem mode.
