I currently have a basic Virgin Media TV package and I rarely use my Virgin box.
I've been told that I can use the coaxial cable to digitally tune my TV.
As I've got a basic package I'd rather tuck away the virgin media box.

I've got two coaxial connectors (Main) and (Sub), I've tried both of these but I can't seem to find any channels at all.

    Using a Sony KD49x850C
    Digital Tuning - Cable

I can receive channels using analogue and an Aerial.
Just wondering if this is actually possible at all?

You cannot use the Virgin cable to provide tuneable channels through a television aerial socket. Televisions, like Sony, with a tuning facility for 'cable' do not work in the UK although they can work in other countries. You have to use the Virgin Media box. I'm not sure where you are receiving Analogue signals from. They were switched off ages ago.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the help! Greatly appreciated.
Guess I will have to continue using the Virgin Media box.
