Ok, I'm here again needing help with my tv. I have Virgin Media and I am moving the TiVo box and I need to make the cable shorter. It looks like a normal coax cable, but the connector where is screw in looks different and I can't see how it comes off.
Anybody any idea?

Sure virgin use compression / crimped connectors. If you are shortening the cable just chop and add a new f type connector.

Alternatively buy a premade F-plug to F-plug 'satellite grade' cable of the appropriate length.

Ask Virgin nicely and they may even send you one?

Thanks, yes I ordered some. Looks pretty straightforward.
