Seems a silly question but will it? I keep seeing it on posters and am just abit confused.
If it is, do we have to pay more for it?

Virgin Central will never be on Sky as it is a VOD-based 'channel'.

The new channel Virgin 1 may be on Sky and other platforms, assuming commercial negotiations are successful.

The problem is that Sky is only capable on pre-loaded shows... never actual "on demand"...

Sky: they just fill up half your Sky+ box with pre-recorded programs.

Virgin: actually stream the on-demand content to your STB when you ask for it: hence why they can have hundred of shows and programs (whole series, etc) genuinely "on demand".

edit: to answer your question: if Sky ends up with any of teh Virgin channels, it will have to either be all pre-laoded onto your Sky+ box.... or it will be multi-start...

Virgin 1 is what I meant, sorry. I just wondered because they were both at war with each other.
I suppose we have to wait and see how the "talks" go?!

I think Virgin actually missed an opportunity with Virgin Central.

Rather than showing clips and those stupid white weirdos they should actually be showing the episodes that are also available On Demand. Sort of like show an episode of Spooks then during the end credits anounce press red to find the next episode (I'm aware Spooks has noe end credits, probably a bad example)! If exclusive content was available this could be shown on Sky and other platforms, probably with adverts, and be a serious advertisement opportunity for Virgin's On Demand service! It worked pretty well for Channel 4's digital channels (i.e. change to E4 for the next episode!).

Perhaps these ideas will be realised for Virgin 1.

Virgin, unlike sky are making virgin 1 available on all platforms ( virgin media , freeview and sky) at no extra cost. It will not be a ppv channel and is replacing the ftn channel. Have been browsing the net and have seen a few of the prorammes due to come on and must say I am impressed by the propsed line up

Agreed, at the we will be able to see the Sarah Conner Chronicles (though that could be a bad thing aswell!).

And if it is on freeveiw I can watch it in my bedroom.
