I can only assume they squeeze more of the same dvd's as was in there last bigger ever blah blah blah (read cobblers) into their shelves. Hence the bigger than last time sale ever, cos they got more in, well that's my logic....I think.

Agreed...they don't seem to get bigger every time!

... i reckon they have opened a newstore since the last sale so technically with one more store it is the biggest ever sale.

    ...but still the same DVDs

I have to say that the Virgin sales are usually absolutely worthless - full of really old stuff at not particularly good prices.

Popped in to the London Oxford Street megastore and checked out the box sets which included Man From Uncle at only £39.99 - what a bargain! :thumbsdow

At least HMV put some effort into their sales. Plenty of good deals in their latest sale, I picked up:

    Hell Drivers £4.99
Complete Rising Damp (all 4 seasons) £19.99
Halloween 3 (with Kim Newman commentary) £4.99

and plenty of other bargains though I had most of those titles.

Actually to be completely fair I did....once.....get a good buy in Virgin, the two disc se version of Star Trek V1 The Undiscovered Country for £9:99.

At HMV I will admit that at least on their "Biggest ever..ever...sales, ever" you do get more reasonable sale items more often.

For instance, HMV Schindlers List £9:99, Virgin, remember sale item....£19:99 . HMV Matrix Reloaded either £7:99 singly, or buy three mixed titles including the aforementioned for £20, at least is was the last time I was in there, Virgin £19:99   Go figure!!!
