Just got back from New York on Virgin. and on both planes, which were different both had the new system.

The screen on the back of the seat are now around 8-9" and the system is digital instead of the old 2hr tape loop. You get a choice of around 40 films and to select from and you can pause, rewind, fast forward or just stop the movie and pick another one when you want to.

There also a wider range of other things on it that I didn't use like TV series, games, talking books.

All in all a fantastic services. I was on Virgin flight earlier in the year to Vegas and it wasn't on those planes, so I think it's a slow roll out of the new system.
