I have had limited success with a Viewsonic N3760w inputting various resolutions from my HTPC via DVI->HDMI. Anything above 1280x720 sends the screen crazy. The advertised resolution of the TV is 1366x768, and in the user guide specifications it states:
Resolution Supported
1360 x [email protected] Hz(it is the PC reference mode)
Therefore is 1360x768 achievable on this LCD?
My HTPC graphics card is a Sparkle 128 MB GeForce 6200. I have tried using Nvidia software to customize the display, aswell as Powerstrip, and 1280x720 is the best i can get, but at this resolution most films i playback on TT, WMP, VLC, PowerDVD all have grey bars on either the top & bottom, or on the sides of the said film. These grey bars are partially inplace of the standard black bars displayed on standard widescreen movies. So i end up with the film in the middle of the screen, then black bars, and finally grey bars.
Has anyone else had a similar experience to this with the TV or any others?
