I have searched the board and found some threads re viewpia.
As anyone purchased one of these recently and if so are they any good it is for a bedroom.
I cannot find any images of this model showing the side view or rear as space is tight so want to check it out.
Any help would be great.

Thx

Sorry to hijack, but here's a free bump.

I am also interested to know as it certainly (on paper) looks like the best 19" 'all-in-one" out there at the moment.

Linkage for people who are interested HERE

Comments from owners would be great.

Sean :)

Although I've resided myself to the fact that nobody here owns one, I'll try for one last shout out to the masses.

Hi

Did you buy a LCD TV??

I have looked at the Daewoo DSL19V1WCD (£236) but then saw this post about the ViewPia (£253)

So did you get a TV and if so which one? and are you happy with it?

Thanks

Hi there,

I spent a bit more in the end and went for the DMTech all-in-one from currys.

I have to say I am VERY impressed with it, the picture is fantastic using in-built freeview. I got impatient waiting for answers on the viewpia so instead of taking a punt I went with a model that I could actually go and see and one that has had favourable reviews both here and elsewhere.

Cheers.

Sean :)

I've just ordered this from Play.com so will let you know what I think when it arrives. Been searching for ages for a 19" lcd combi for the bedroom. Was thinking of going for the Grundig GU19WDVDT but was put off by the reviews of poor viewing angle - and as this will be viewed from sitting up or lying down in bed may be a problem. The viewpia has a viewing of 160/160 and reviews say it's a good picture quality with contrast 3000:1 so I'll give it a try.

Ok I received this tv yesterday but it is going back. The picture quality is very good but as mentioned on the play.com reviews the difference in volume between viewing analogue and freeview is way out of balance. Through analogue the sound is perfect and you only have to have the volume up a touch. But through freeview you have to crank the volume way up the scale and even then it still doesn't sound as good as through analogue. Also, if you have a sky or other box connected then you also have to remember to turn down the volume before switching to sky otherwise you blast out the house. Can be a bit annoying at midnight when everyone else is trying to sleep. There is also an annoying click sound through the speakers each time you change channel.

The other problem I had was several times the TV kept locking up and not responding to any buttons either via the remote or TV and the only option was to turn it off & on at the mains. Very annoying so it's going back. Shame though as I really liked the pic quality.
