Hi....prolly a silly question, but here goes.........I have a Sony RDR-HX900 DVD recorder connected to my Pioneer Plasma thru component leads. Region 2 discs work fine on progressive as do Region 1 discs on a normal setting on the DVD player. However, when i select Progressive on my DVD player when watching a Region 1 disc the screen shrinks and does green?!? Anyone?

It sounds like the display is ‘seeing' your 480P signal as an RGB signal not a YPbPr signal – is your player actually capable of outputting 480P; some aren't and will revert to RGB when you try to set them to Progressive with an R1 disc?

When you have an R1 disc playing and the ‘green' screen showing hit the ‘Display' button on the Plasma remote – the onscreen menu will tell you what the Display's seeing!

    Best regards
