Whats up with BBC? is it always like this? while watching in 16:9 all the heads are streatched in the vertical. BBC2 is fine..... can some one help, hate switching the sky to 4:3 to view every time.

Sounds to me you are taking the anamorphic 16:9 output of the digibox and viewing it as a 4:3 picture. You should check the plasmas settings, it may have been looking for a switching signal to reset the ratio and it never got it or maybe you have manually set the ratio incorrectly.
Since you say that BBC2 is fine that it points more to the BBC1 ratio switching being the main issue.

Have you tried any of the other BBC1 regions to see if it makes a difference?

If you are watching using a sky digi box, make sure that the picture settings are correctly set up. IE, RGB and 16:9 wide :)
