Thought I'd start a light-hearted thread on what you can see from the back window of your house.

This is our view:

a) The JLR manufacturing plant building the new Defender
b) Church of St. Michael the Archangel which dates from the 11th century on the hill
c) The Small Carpathian mountains in the distance on the border of the Czech Republic
d) On some days the cooling towers plume from the Mochovce Nuclear Power Plant which has VVER 440/213 reactors which are a Russian design

Anyone have any good views from the back of their house?

From my bedroom window at the back of the house, a neighbour’s car collection viewable now their neighbour has cut their conifers back this week.

The sluice built about 10 years ago, one of the biggest civil engineering projects in Europe at the time.

Don't get any distant views living in a steep sided valley so I've gone for the dramatic. The mountain fire is taken from my bedroom window and is a scene that I've sadly witnessed all too often as well as climbing many times to fight the fires when on shift.

I've cheated a little on the bluebell wood as I have to go to the very top of my garden to see it but that photograph was taken from the field right behind the house. It would be impossible to see from my windows as the mountain here is too steep.

The third one is again taken from my bedroom window but on the opposite side of the valley, lucky enough to have a dual aspect bedroom. Taken with a telephoto lens and not Photoshopped it's the wonderfully named Penrhiwcaradoc Farm which has buildings dating back to the 15th century which are some of the oldest in the valley.
