    Hi folks.

Thought i'd just point this out.

Ebuyer currently doing the Panny Viera 37" PE50 with wall mount for £999.

Their first batch has now sold out but should have more on the way.

    Worth thinking about.

Im tempted to cancel my pending order for a PV500 and get one. Then in 6 months get a new HD set in the sales. Figure i'd end up with two sets for only a few hundred quid more than today.

    Comments anyone?

    Seems sensible to me :)

Its the old chestnut again "early adoption", it appears prudent to buy into proven technology and let the "must haves" have the headaches or not as the case may be :)

what a bargain - i paid £1999 for that set in dec 2004 and that was the cheapest price at the time

based on what i have read about the pv500 i would suggest that this is a fabulous opportunity to buy proven technology :D

had a look at the pv500 and was not impresssed compared my viera

    Hi,

Did Ebuyer say that? Did they give an estimated day ?

    Could be interested...

Finally got to the point after weeks of reading around (all thanks to the great people who post on av btw) that I definately want a panny !!

I may give HD a miss as it is first generation - save the difference (£700/£800?) and reinvest that in a couple of years time in a high def model which should be better than the PV500 (?) - relegating current TV to bedroom

I just to need to decide on the size of the plasma - if its 37inch I'll go with ebuyer's 37PE50 if its 42inch I'll probably go with Empire Direct in a months or so time (moving house mid-oct)

If anybody wants to tell me that ebuyer is not a great place to get a product from (someone told me they send out returned goods?) then nows the time to shout :lease:

I ordered a PE50 from ebuyer on Friday. My Natwest VISA card was rejected twice,(Natwest's fault, they were trying to contact me to verify the large online purchase with the wrong phone number). Ebuyers site now won't let me update my order - the Change Payment tab doesn't work, they don't answer the phone, answer emails or read eNotes about my Order. Not overly impressed so far - will keep you posted.

I ordered mine on friday and took the 6 months interest free option too!

Seems like a great deal to me... just have to work out where to put it and how to mount it without all the cables all over the shop!

The way this company seem to operate I'm glad I've not taken the credit option. At least my VISA covers any trouble I may encounter. They now cut you off as soon as you ring them, absolutely no way of getting through to them..

Not too worried about it to be honest - I've had many a run in with company's that try to play silly buggers when buying on credit... I know my rights and they don't have a leg to stand on if anything goes wrong.

But still can't wait for my new TV!!! Anyone know where I can pick up a cheap pedestal stand until I rebuild my entire house arround my new telly?

It's not the drilling that worries me... it's what's behind the wall that does!

I've spent a lot of time looking at the wide variety of installations in the 'get your plasmas out' thread... some look amazing, some look... errm... interesting.

Sorry if I'm being thick but can someone provide a link as I can't see this anywhere!

I've found the "pedestal" version but that's a tiny bit more dough and it's not the wall mount version but instead is a version that lives on this stand type thing...i don't know what they're called ;)

Sorry for being useless but I quite fancy the sound of this deal

The screen was originally advertised as a one day only special offer which is why im guessing the price has now gone up. They give thier stock levels on the website which is how I knew they'd sold out. Guess the price 'hike' is becuase its back to the normal level now. Wish I'd gone with my gut feeling when I saw the special offer now. Jealous of those that got theirs ordered whilst they had stock.

Im not looking to defend them, though I do use them a lot, but it normally takes about 48 hours to respond to new enotes, they dont work weekends and its been a bank holiday, so you're maybe a bit hopeful to hear anything from them already.

The last time I used them they took a week to reply to each enote and didn't answer the question fully, meaning I had to ask again and wait another week. That was in April, I wouldn't buy from them again..

I'm not sure if it was a one day deal - I saw 5 in stock in the evening and 2 in stock the following morning (unless you mean it is a 24hr sale) - as I understood it they had 44 37PE50's and the sale lasted along as they sold?
