I have difficulty in locating birds in flight using either the eyepiece or the LCD screen. Does anyone know of a simple sight attachment like an air rifle sight which could be fitted to the accessory shoe and would be easier to aim at the bird in flight?

Could you not build a simple rifle out of wood and somehow mount the cam to it. It might not look to pretty but i'm sure it would do the trick.

I use to do a lot of bird photography and in flight shots were always difficult especially with some magnification.

It was a matter of practice and using one eye to the viewfinder and keeping the other open to get a general idea of where the bird is. Even then its still a bit hit and miss.
