So it looks like VideoGamePlus.ca has finally announced the chance to pre-order the US version of the PSP. I sent them an email and as usual they got back to me within a few hours ... I asked them about shipping and they said with the holidays etc they hoped that all items (if ordered now) would be shipped no later than 31st March. Its just typical tho - I would have used these guys to buy a PSP but it turns out Im off to the states on 29th March - Im just hoping that I can just walk into a shop and pick one up - Im even tempted to give a particular store in Houston (where Im going) a call and see if they can reserve one for me ! Whatever tho Im going to pick up a load of games when Im out there !

I would highly recomend these guys tho - top communication, top price, Ive never paid import duty and their shipment times are second to none !

Actually this is the 3rd time they have had pre orders for the PSP 1st you could pre order a Japanese version with Ridge Racer for $499.99 CAD then it was the US version for $299.99 CAD then both pre orders were taken off the site for a week or two then this new pre order has appeared.

Thankfully managed to get a US version pre ordered the first time it came up so should be one of the first to have it shipped.

I have ATV pre ordered (to sample the online play) plus it was great on the xbox, but the one thing that bothered me is my card was charged. I know Im going to pay for it anyway, but I dont think companies should charge you for a pre-order, and I know there are other culprits out there too. Such is the way the cookie crumbles

There should have been an option when ordering for them to charge your card only once the item is ready for dispatch, I chose this and havent been charged yet.

Has anyone emailed videogameplus lately there usually quite quick at replying ive emailed them 3 times in last 2 week and no reply  I was after knowing if i ordered another psp game if it would be sent with my psp pre-order (with it being a different order) and if the postage would be extra and also what the postage is for just a psp game sent on itself ....but they've not replied .

I sent them an email yesterday at 6:15pm about my order and had a reply by 6:40pm but I did notice that the email from them went straight into the Hotmail Junk Mail Folder, perhaps something similar is happening with their emails to you?

To be honest Indy, I didnt spot that. On a different note, they seem to be about 10 euros cheaper than lik-sang (Who I think are the business). Ill wait and see how long the shipping is. Lik-Sang say they ship once they have the item in stock, while I dont know about Videogamesplus. Will they wait till the release date to ship??

I asked VG+ this yesterday and they said they will ship orders as soon as the title comes into stock but unlike DVDs, retailers in the US dont get stock of games weeks before release so the best you can hope for is that the get stock a few days early.

Now that is annoying as I pre-ordered Wipeout Pure from VG+ over 2 weeks ago so would have thought it would ship before more recent orders, guess that isnt the case.

Did you choose to pay straight away? as I selected to only be charged when my order was ready for posting, maybe they post orders of people who have already paid in advance first?

You can still pre order on DVD Soon - I guess you'll have to join the que though so not sure when you will get one from them. No companies have them in stock yet as the release is th 24th so all you can do anywhere is pre order. Tomorrow may show a different picture I guess but i'd expect the first batches to sell out everywhere.

    quote from videogamesplus....

"ONE PSP GAME TITLE MUST BE PURCHASED WITH THE PSP SYSTEM OR YOUR ORDER WILL BE CANCELLED AND REFUNDED."

In other words, 'I'll force you to buy a game along with that gretsky crap thats bundled, or you wont be buying it from us'

Wow, another canadian company with the same brilliant customer service and high regards for their customers, makes me ashamed to be canadian sometimes !!

To be fair to VG+ its sony canada whose doing the bundle. VG+ can only sell on what sony supply. Also most people would have ordered a game to try on the system anyway wouldn't they?

On happier news (at least for me :) :p) my psp value pack (without cack hockey game) got shipped last night and is winging its way here.

of course david, i totally agree my friend, but forcing the issue rather than freedom of choice is slightly different.
