    Before 4k has even had a chance to get off the ground - yet alone a feasible delivery system to carry it - Sharp are upping the ante by displaying an 8K display at CES 2012, in Vegas.

    It begs the question, why? Guess the answer is, 'cos they can'.

    What size though? It'd better be above 55" to warrant that resolution...

    Very cool. Let's get 4K in the home first though.:cool:


    Considering there's nowt' on the market that films at 8K, well, except for that NHK demo camera from last year, this is Sharp winning the pecker contest. 6 figure price tag I would guess.
