Video Judder/Stutter PC to 55" HDTV 1080p Problem

Hi all, I've been using large HDTV's as monitors, or along side monitors since 2007. I've never had an issue really until now. My system:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64
Phenom 9550 quad @2.20Ghz
asus Nvidia GT640 2Gb HDMI, DVI-D x2, VGA
8GB Ram
PSU 670w
Multiple HDD's 21Tb total, all @ 7200rpm
VLC Player
All known updates are installed
TV's and Monitors 55" baird 1080p (can display 1080i) 4xhdmi, vga, 3x scart, 3x rgb, LG 50" 1080p, aoc 23" 1080p, samsung 32" 1080p

With any rez judder/stutter/shudder randomly occurs. Like dropped frames, but not. Sometimes, often and its driving me bonkers. It can occur in game play too. I've tried all connections with no difference. Ultimately, i'd prefer using hdmi though. A part from a wipe and re-install I'm quite miffed as to why this is happening. it may be some updates, unfortunately, I've no idea when I started noticing because I spend time using non-motion programs so to speak. I've tried another, older PC, win vista 32 premium, 1Gb ram pentium 4 3.06Ghz, nividia 7600gs via vga with no issues. Also, my Blackberry playbook has now problems playing seamless video trough them too!

Any suggestion would be very welcome indeed, thanks in advance.

It does sound like a problem on the PC end as if something is overheating or failing.

Does your motherboard have onboard graphics? You could try removing the GT 640 and seeing if that work (or if you've still got it, the card that the GT 640 replaced).
