Im planning a new pc for HTPC use and was thinking it would be quite nice to be able to watch some of the programmes i record on tivo on my projector - but i really cannot be faffed running another cable across the room.

Is there any simple or reccomended solution to inputting analogue video into a pc that I can then watch in a full screen window (presumably this will also scale the video to 720p) ? Was thing of maybe changing my graphics card choice to get one with vivo or maybe some sort of video to usb convertor cable.

Without a doubt the best card for the job is a SweetSpot and Dscaler. See www.pluggedin.tv (banner ad at top of this page normally). Not cheap mind you...
