When do expect these on sale? If there is a version under 1k I am going to wait it out before I buy.

I like the sound of this. Was thinking about getting one of the current 65" Hisense TVs but this might just convince me to hang on for a while and get one of these at launch instead.

It's just an copy of the Samsung KS8000 design wise. Which is probably cheaper at the time this one get sold.

@Steve Withers How would you say these new models compare with last years, are we seeing a noticeable step up in terms of picture quality given that they are now UHD Premium certified, quite a jump in regards to brightness levels from last years? Also how do they compare with models from other brands that could be around a similar price point and in general? Thanks.

There's a definite increase in peak brightness and the UHD Premium certification means the colour gamut will be at least 90% of DCI-P3.

Hisense use their own smart platform, it's fairly basic but it has all the important services and gets the job done.

No official pricing but Hisense estimate that the 55" will cost around €1500 which is just under £1300, 65" will cost €2000 which is just over £1700 although I think they'll be a bit cheaper given last years pricing and how aggressively their marketing strategy is.

I think they will probably need to be a bit cheaper than this at launch as I wouldn't be surprised if this is the price point Samsung and LG are aiming for.

To buy now or to wait until July /august question. Just when I was trying to convince my brain to buy to the hisense 55m7000 (which I am told is comparable to Sammy ks7000 in picture quality but cheaper), another reason to wait for the release of the MU8700 to get the full benefits of HDR10 (1000 nits ) is making the decision harder and harder. As I am aware the m7000 uses true 10 bits panel only display in 8bits with dithering. I therefore have few questions for you guys if I may:
      1. Is HDR 10 bits significantly more superior than 8 bit with dithering and if yes, will the average Joe notice the difference between 10 bits than 8 bits with dithering?
      2. Is there many HDR 10 contents available to watch.
      3. Is 8bits with dithering just as enjoyable as 10bit or is 10 bits the way forum?
      4. Any idea when hisense will release prices for the UK 2017 models?
