Video format question.

I have a 1080p plasma screen connected by HDMI to a DVD player.I have the choice of setting 1080i or 720p on the video format section of the DVD set up menu,which should I use? Thank you in advance for your help.

you should try each of the settings and see what looks best. it depends on if the panel does a better job of upscaling or the dvd player. if it's an expensive panel, but a cheap player, the panel might do a better job
