A couple of video files recently have refused to play on my PS3. I've used the same process as always (mkv2vob) and then either play through PS3MS or now placing them on my NAS and then playing via the PS3 that way.

Now for some reason on a few files, I just get a black screen and no audio. When I view the information on the PS3, it's as if the file is empty (Yet its still full size in GB)
The same file won't play through PS3MS either. The file will play on my laptop, but for some reason there is no sound. The original MKV file will play fine with video and audio on the laptop and will stream via PS3MS (with stuttering due to wireless network)

Any ideas?
My setup is
PS3
Windows 7 64bit on the laptop with mkv2vob v2.4.9
Yamaha HTR-3063 amp which plays DTS

On the mkv2vob configuration screen I have nothing ticked
Below is the mediainfo output of one of the files, but it means nothing to me :D

Just run the file through mkv2vob again and selected the "Always transcode DTS" and the file now plays.
Any reason why it doesn't work at all without that option ticked?

My AMP is connected to my PS3 with an HDMI cable (does it have to be optical?)

Dont think it needs to be optical, it might be the LPCM or Bitsream settings............

Mediainfo says its PCM audio, 2 channels, not DTS, this might of been an issue, maybe changing the audio by selecting transcode done what needed to be done...........

there is a PCM option with mkv2vob, try that instead........
