When my nieces come around (13 and now 16), they ask to watch a movie and pick stuff like Aliens, or Pitch Black, or Halloween. With the lights on!
I say no, but thier parents would let them, even thoutgh I would call them responsible adults. Other movies that have ratings beyond thier years (but only just) I give the parents the option. Things like Full Monty (whcih is a 15) as i feel they are mature enough to understand the content, but the parents know better than me (and the BBFC) Horror/Sexual agression etc i disagree with showing to minors
GTA (VC and III) I'd let them see a demo of it but I wouldn't let them play it, and I'd make sure if I left them to play in my media room, that I went back in and checked they didn't load anything that wasn't appropriate.
