Is someone using them on their Cd/dvd players ? Good ?
No, I use Nordost Pulsar Points and also Stands Unique Carbon Isolators, both work very well.
seem to work well
Do you just sit your cd /dvd player on these Pulsar Points or do you somehow attach them to the casing? Did you remove the original feet from your Arcam kit or do the Pulsar Points go underneath them? If they sit under the original feet then doesn't that make the kit stand a bit high?
The reason I ask is that I've got some but have never been quite sure of the best way to use them!
I've got pulsar points under most of my kit. This includes my speakers instead of the 8mm spikes and they work very well. You get them pre drilled and treaded6, 8mm etc. With the lighter kit like my CD player and preamp I just put them as close to the original feet as possible and I've had no problems.
Hi I use these under my Musica lFIdleity Xray V3 and X150 and X10V3 and I think the impact was great. What surprised me was that they improved the sound when placed under the X150 but not so much under the X10.
For the money, well worth it and are more discrete than oak cones!
So in the case of your cd player and pre amp you remove threaded bit and just sit it on top of the small bit of the Pulsar Point that it turn sits in the big bit. Is that right? Sorry if this question seems daft but I've got no instructions or anything and don't know quite how they work!
I've got the same cd player and pre amp as you so I think I'll give it a go.
i use a soundstyle furniture w glasshelters so i guess i cant use pulsar point ?
btw its very easy to take off the original feet , just take them off !
I sit the small section of the pulsar points on top of the larger section so they are balancing on a very small contact point. I then place each of these under each foot of my cd player. It does make it sit a bit high but as my cd player is on the top shelf it does not matter. Here are some example pics
Nice arrangement Chris. I seem to have seen a similar one like that before
