VHS to DVD Dubbing ~will not play on Computer

Standard Member
Hello - any help would be greatly appreciated please.

I am attempting to transfer my VHS's to DVD.
The unit (Hitchens) I have, has very limited instructions, but the steps I have followed does succeed in transferring the VHS content to the DVD disc.

Settings wise, I believe I have tired:
Disc type: DVDRW & DVD+R
Format: VR mode & Video mode.
Recording speed: 2H.
Finalising of the disc.

Essentially when the recording is stopped, I can playback the content successfully from the DVD disc within the recorder/player.
But if I attempt to view the DVD disc in my home computer (Windows 10) the disc shows contents empty.

Multiple attempts of the above with a mixture of settings all give the same outcome.

Many thanks in advance.

Have you tried another pre-recorded disc in the PC drive? Has it gone faulty and won't play back DVD+rs? This is not uncommon.

If you have another DVD player, worth trying the disc in there, as that at least will rule out if the recorder is at fault.
