I am about to purchase a dvd recorder specifically for archiving old family vhs videos. I have read many articles on this forum to try and decide on the best machine for the job. It seems to come down to either the philips dvdr75 or the panasonic e50/e60. I am struggling to decide on which (I know one is dvd+and the other dvd -).
One thing that could decide me is the fact that I have a HP200i DVD writer on my PC, would I be able to edit the DVD VHS copies with this if I buy the philips machine, as the writer is DVD+.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for long post, but I'm new to this.
