right, since my tv has no vga input i've been pondering on how i would be able to try any other connection to see if i can get better quality.

if i were to get a DVI to HDMI converter and a VGA to DVI converter would i be able to eventually get HDMI out of my 360. basically connect the 360 vga cable to the VGA-DVI, then connect that to the DVI-HDMI and into my tv.

long shot i know :suicide:
but would this actually work??

Put simply, no.

You would need an analogue to digital converter (~£150-£200), as a DVI to HDMI converter is not able to do this. Although DVI-I is capable of passing both analogue and digital, is it not able to convert between the two; therefore if the source is analogue then it can only output it as analogue. HDMI only supports digital signals.

DOH!!

so the only option is spend between £150-£200 pounds but there is no qaurantee that this will improve picture quality right?

Curse MS, where's that damn HDMI cable!!!

Pretty much yeah!
Although there's no guarantee that an HDMI cable for the Xbox 360 would be better either.

the hdmi would probably introduce overscan, and glittery images,i suspect on some tvs..vga is the best option..

There is no need for HDMI, since the Xbox 360 mainly designed to be used with component.
