    H!

My old Covid RGBS interface has broken. But I do have a similar old Barco RGBS interface. The problem is the pinning is not the same. When I wrote Barco they answered: "The mentioned interface is a dedicated VGA interface and the connections are made as standard VGA ."

I soldered a cable according to this site:

    http://www.hardwarebook.net/cable/av/9to15vga.html

    That is:

    1 1
    2 2
    3 3
    11 11
    13 13
    14 14

I get the tubes to lighten but there is no sync. How should I solder the cable to get a proper sync signal?

No, I have a Ampro 4000G projector. But problem is now solved. I simply bought a HD15 male - HD15 male, and it worked! The only problem was that the quality of the cable was not good enough, I´ll have to buy a better one!

I got confused because the link you posted showed a 9pin to 15pin cable.

It is important (as you have found out) that the signal ie RG&B are sheilded.
Good to know you have it working though

OK, I linked to that site because it showed the HD15 pinning I used so that there shouldn´t be any confusion, but that wasn´t very successful! :D

I bought a more expensive cable today and the result was - NO improvement.. :(

My old Covid interface must boost the signal. Details, depth, everything is better than with the Barcointerface or with a VGA->5bnc cable. I guess I´ll have to find a new interface then.

BTW Could it be possible to fix my old interface? The blue output doesn´t work. Is it hard for an electrician to find what is wrong you think?
