Hey everyone, here's the situation. Sony KLV26HG2 LCD TV produces a brilliant picture but alas, no VGA input. Just got a Component video cable for my Nintendo Gamecube so I can use Progressive Scan. Quite simply, I can't go back to interlaced. So now I want to use my Dreamcast in progressive scan too.
Dreamcast only outputs progressive (480p) over VGA. So, I need to convert VGA to Component 480p. I have seen adapters for use with ATI Video cards:

They say they're only for use with ATI cards, but is this actually true? Can I plug this VGA adapter into my Dreamcast's VGA-box VGA output and hook it up to my Component inputs and get a picture? Or do I genuinely need to spend more money on a transcoder? If so, can you guys/girls suggest a good one?
Thanks very much!
