VGA - Component Breakout cable question.

I hope this isn't a silly question, but I need a VGA (HD15) to 3 RCA (Component) breakout cable to connect my Iscan HD to my plasma.

I already have a VGA to 5 BNC (RGBHV) Breakout cable and it seems a shame to waste it (particularly as it is one of the Silver Serpent ones !), so my question is, can I just use three of the five BNC connections (with BNC to RCA converters on) to effectively change it to a VGA - component breakout cable or is it in some way wired differently at the VGA end so as not to allow this ?

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers for the help.

I am using a 15 pin D-Sub to 5 BNC cable between my Sky HD box and my Mitsi projector and it works fine. Adaptors from BNC to phono, plus phono couplers.

Hello Canoehq

Use the Red, Green and Blue connectors with BNC>RCA adapters and it'll work fine

Best regards
